The photographer

Piotr Łukawski was born in 1972 in the eastern part of Poland. As a teenager he got his first camera from his father – dual-headed SLR Ljubitel, which started his interest in photography. The passion developed during trips he made with his father to beautiful forests and lakes in the north-east of the country. The following years brought multiple travels to various countries of the world, which deepened his interest in civilisations and cultures. He tries to document three main parts of human existance: nature, creation and activity. All of them are strictly linked together: nature is our origin, activity transforms the environment, and creation is a fruit of activity. Piotr belives that the main life target of every human being is to change the world and make it a better place for future generations.
